Wrinkle-relaxing injections work by relaxing the facial muscles; tightening the skin, giving a less wrinkled and more smooth appearance.

How does Wrinkle Reducing Treatment (such as Botox) work?

A very small amount of the relaxant is softly injected into several locations on the face. Impulses are blocked from the nerve to the tiny facial muscles that contribute to wrinkles. The muscles therefore cannot contract and tend to relax. Although the results can be dramatic, it will not radically change your facial appearance. The muscles are simply relaxed, so you can still frown, smile, or look surprised without the wrinkles and creases in your brows.

Anti-wrinkle injections can also work to prevent deep lines from forming. Injections for wrinkle reduction are most commonly used for the treatment of frown lines, forehead lines, 'crow's feet' or laughter lines.

How long does treatment take?

This is a simple non surgical procedure that, depending on the number of areas you wish to treat, only takes 10-15 minutes and so allows you to return home immediately afterwards.
